"Was our only official 'manufactured' CD, although the 'factory' was Space Station Studios for everything except the digital engineering of the final production master and the actual pressing of the discs. All music was recorded live, mixed and mastered in house and all materials were collated and assembled by our sixty or so stubby little fingers...every last tray card and cover sheet bent, folded and snapped in place, every last piece handled by a bona fide Alien. The initial (and, as we say, only) pressing was about a thousand pieces, with an overage of maybe a hundred or so, and yes, they're all treasured coasters protecting the coffee tables of fans and friends all over the woild. The quarter inch eight track magnetic masters still exist, by the way, and it is the fevered dream of at least the present correspondent to someday do a proper, unrushed, listenable mix that would do us all proud. Ah well...one lives in hope, eh? Anybody got a Tascam 388 they wanna donate?" RB
